- A costumer said this Francis Francis Espresso Machine is VERY GOOD "The first machine I received was defective right off the bat. The replaced unit works great. The capsules are so convenient, to me they are worth the price. Otherwise, you need to find an expensive expresso grinder, and work on the numbers to find the break even point, and consider that it doesn't get any easier than this.There is a technique to frothing, so some of the complaints are due to lack of experience or technique. I use a stainless steel frothing pitcher (highly recommended), about 2 tablespoons of milk, place the wand to the bottom of the pitcher, turn on the frothing spigot and just let froth until the foam rises to the top of the pitcher.The coffee is hot, but the cup is cold, so I put hot tap water into the cup when the machine is warming up, or the steamer can be used to warm the cup; however, the frother and the brewer are seperate components and each requires a warm up of about 45-60 seconds between brewing and frothing.This is not a machine for a social or a large group, it is best used for one or two brews, and specifically warns not to use commercially.I give this 5 stars for home use."
